We just added a poll--vote for which day you'd like it! We might even make it a two-fer...

Not Monday! Holiday is Saturday so the office is closed Friday (if holiday was Sunday we'd close Monday). Friday, Saturday, or Sunday - voted for Saturday but could take any of the 3. But not Monday: I can't usually access COTH from work.

I think it's funny that Monday is in the lead. My guess is that most people do NOT have Monday off. It's summer, who wouldn't rather spend a WORK day on a COTH OT day, rather than being torn about staying inside on a day off? Sadly, since I live in the PNW, a sunny day does trump even an OT day.

But Monday works, LOL! And productivity plummets yet again...

Well...I'll be at work all 4 days, but only half days Sat and Sun...so Fri or Mon works best for me!

...that's where I have internet access...

Monday with Sunday a close second. Will be pretty busy Fri-Sat as I am having people over on Saturday and trying to ride both days as well.

I voted Saturday simply b/c it's the "actual" holiday, but either that or Sunday would work for me. Friday/Monday not so good as (sigh) I'm working both days.

Edit: Because I forgot to say THANK YOU!!!

I pick Monday because I'm at work and thus need entertainment.
If we are doing a two-fer, I'd go for Sunday and Monday :)

I have to travel on Sunday and will arrive on the ground many jet lagged hours later on Monday. So I prefer Saturday. If it's a two-fer, Friday and Saturday.

Huh? I thought I was editing and it ended up posting twice. Sorry for the repetition.

I voted Monday and that's only because we'll be out of town for the weekend and won't have internet access, plus be too darn busy to play online anyway! :D

Have a safe and Happy 4th everyone!!

Just asking for those traveling folks. I'm not one of those, unfortunately!

The polls are closed with a dead heat for Sunday and Monday, so it looks like we have simply no choice but to make it a two-day extravaganza!

We'll open it up either late Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Have a terrific holiday COTHers!

The nice thing about this is that while it was decided already, it came out in exactly the way I hoped.

Wish there were a way in a field of many to vote for a favorite (weighted most heavily) and a second favorite (weighted less) so that when all the votes are cumulated everybody's second favorite choice is right up there, too, not just ranked according to those who voted for it as first choice. Not just here, but in American political elections, too. (Or on behalf of our non-US friends, in global elections, as well.)

Anyway, I don't remember the last time that a complex vote came out exactly the way I would have wanted. (I'm glad I bought Powerball tickets for Saturday. Seems as if everything has been going my way the past 36 hours or so. If I win it all, I promise there will be some very happy horses come Sunday, critters whose prospects tonight seem not so very bright.)
