You can also note that the mare "Stella" gave birth to "Quick Star" and "Olisco", those 2 stallions sired 3 of the horses in the SF team.
"Stella" SF was sired by the French AA "Nithard" and was ridden by Meredith Michaels Beerbaum.
A nice video of "Stella" and MMB: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7sDzfIPV1s

It may be that you have your Stellas confused.

I don't think so.

The SF Stella who was the dam of Olisco and Quick Star was a 1962 model, and Paardenfokken has her as an International Jumping Mare. If she was a 1962, wouldn't it have been unlikely that MMB would have been her pilot?

As I recall, Nelson Pessoa competed Stella, but MMB was associated with Quick Star for most of his life. It might be possible that she rode his dam at some point.

However, I think you're confusing the AA mare Stella with her granddaughter Sprehe Stella (by Quick Star x Windchimes) that MMB rode to great success.

FYI: Sprehe Stella was foaled in the US in 1990 and registered under the name Stars and Stripes (US).

Sphere Stella was born in 1989 and was registered with the AWR.

I believe viney got the point.

I'm wrong...
"Stella" SF was ridden by Nelson Pessoa with success.
"Sprehe Stella" is MMB mount.
