Super exciting and terrifying at the same time. I feel very comfortable with it. We ended up getting a fantastic deal so it was almost too hard to pass up! Even if it's not a good deal, lie to me and tell me it is so I feel better. :D
For 12,200 we got a 24x40x9 pole barn, 1 people door, 1 slider, 4 dutch doors, 2 ridge vents, a functional cupola, an 8' porch on both of the 24' sides over the dutch doors, and posts set on the inside for the stalls. Charcoal roof and "clay" walls. I'm just a little worried that the clay might be too dark, but I couldn't make up my mind. I was set on going with a light stone, but when he brought the swatches it looked almost ivory against our stone house. Fingers crossed for a smooth build!

Thanks! My face doesn't hurting from smiling, more like clenching my jaw and biting my tongue. Let's just say this sales rep is about 85 years old (literally), and SET in his ways. It's an argument to change anything he doesn't think is normal. Every single question you ask better be worth it because it'll send him on a long and convoluted tangent. It was difficult to say the least. It'll all be worth it in the end.

Lucky you - so jealous here! What is the function of a cupola, besides to hold up the new weathervane that you will now likely be shopping for next??

What is the function of a cupola, besides to hold up the new weathervane that you will now likely be shopping for next?? Haha, a generic black small one of a horse came with it which will have to do for now. Our cupola is vented so it helps to draw the air out of the top of the barn.
