What offspring does CR have out there in North America that are already showing?
And I am interested in those that have shown in the HB ring and/or gone on to careers in the hunter ring and if possible, those offspring that are out of TB mares or finer built WB mares
I just dont recall seeing many/any threads on his offspring and am wondering exactly how many there are out there and what success they have had in the hunter discipline
I am targetting him as a potential match for my Faux Finish mare in 2010 or 2011 and I feel conformation and build wise he would suit her perfectly. I love the way he makes a huge jumper course appear to be a hunter round and I completely adore how he uses that front end in the air and how softly he lands and moves up to the next jump!
For those that have CR offspring or have dealt with them - how user friendly are they? What is their movement and jump like? Pros and cons for breeding to him?
Thanks very much as always! :)

You may get in touch with www.equifindgroup.com
I know she (Vanessa Paschini) has a CR gelding that she rides in the jumper ring. Maybe she can help you.
Have you looked at Giacomo de Cantero for your mare ? I think that could be a nice match. You can see him at Beaulieu's Farm.

I had wanted to breed my fine boned TB to him a few years back. I ended up going with an American stallion, but I fell in love with Couleur Rubin when I saw him at the world cup.
Most of the US offspring I have seen pictures of look jumpery, but where out of jumpery type mares.
I also thought he would be a good hunter match.
I really like his younger brother though. He is put together better and jumps even better (if thats possible) He has just started competing and looks to be just as nice as Couleur Rubin. I would look into him as well.
His name is Couleur Rouge.
Good Luck! I look forward to seeing if anyone has hunter type offspring from him!

Thanks Samotis - I'll look into his brother as well ... :)
What has backed people off breeding to him? As many people as I have asked, no one seems to know of any/many offspring at all by him
Are there more in Europe that perhaps we dont know about yet as opposed to North America?

I've wanted to see more by him since I saw him at the World Cup.
There is one that does the a/o.I haven't seen it in person. Catamount: http://www.annegittins.com/scripts/store/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=10-WEF_2009--All_Files_Here/WEF09-files/2484-Catamount&image=WEF9-2283.JPG&img=12&tt=&tfile=

I think part of it is that he has got really expensive to breed to in the last few years.
I loved him at the World Cup, but I think I like his brother better.
Some day I will breed to one of them!!!
There are a few people that posted on an old thread of mine about him and his brother. Try to look it up. A couple people have a few CR offspring and they were chestnut with white.

Perhaps I can help somewhat. Although none of the Couleur Rubin foals that we have bred are old enough to show , they have all had good temperaments and have been easy to work with. They all look just like their sire even though they came from completely different bay mares . They are all chestnut with high whites .
Only one is on our web site and that is Helios B . He is two this year.
If you need any fruther details feel free to e-mail me . I may not answer right away as we are still breeding, but will try to keep up with my e-mails this summer.

Thanks Allyn ... :)
And may I say that Grace B is one of the prettiest and most feminine and typey foals I have seen in a long long time ... :)
That standing picture of her is exemplary. What a gorgeous girl ...

Thank you True Colors !
Grace B has been sold as an investment horse to a pro who is taking her the Hunter route.
She was just as sweet as she was pretty.
