I *think* I recall reading somewhere about the tissue immediately inside the vulva changing colour as partuition approaches?

I just went through all of my big old black bible though and don't see a thing... it's quite outdated though... :uhoh:

Am I imagining that I read that?

I am realizing just how spoilt I am, and how much I have come to rely on pH testing. :sigh: :sleepy:

I look at the vaginal mucous membranes as part of my nightly exam on a late term mare. Sometimes you will notice the membranes become hyperemic/darker pink when foaling is imminent.
