I have an average size horse with a refined face. He is 15 h. usually i get Absorbine fly masks at HORSE size and they are slightly large on him. I wanted to try the Wranger fly mask, and i ordered HORSE( medium) size, and it seems very tight to me. Has anyone noticed this? i don't know if i should go up a size for the next one i order, b/c he is NOT a warmblood, and his head is not very big. but the one i have is so tight, i don't really know what i should do. i like the way they are made, the velcro is doubled over and seems to hold very well. Have any of you had this issue? the sizes were small( cob), Medium(horse) and Large(warmblood/draft)

Hmm...strange. I purchased some of the wrangler masks also - the beige ones? I have also seen blue ones, but the ones I have are beige - don't know if they are different styles/models.
Anyway, 1st horse is usally a "horse" size in Farnam Super Masks. I got the medium wrangler and it fits her well. I also got a small for a slightly smaller than cob horse and that size fits well.
Not sure - does your horse have a really deep jowl maybe? Where is it too small?

I've got the Wranglers and they run small. The horse size barely fits my cob/horse-sized Gringo... and forget about putting it on Gus, who is a big jowled Appy.
They are great masks otherwise.

nope, like i said, he has a refined head. The mask is very tight fitting, but it sort of stretches, but it is still tight. Ever wear something with elastic too tight? i don't want him to feel uncomfortable and i just wondered if the Large size is really a Large or if it is also on the small side.
It is too small in the fact that i have to stretch it to get the velcro together.

You could always try the large. I never have because I was (a) dumb and threw out the receipts because (b) I ASSumed the horse sized masks would fit horses who are traditionally horse sized . Plus, our local Mills Fleet doesn't carry much at all for the WB peeps... so everything is usually cob or horse sized. Sorry I'm not of any help. I'd think the large would fit better. Because, like you have already stated, you really have to pull that velcro/elastic tight to get them to fit... and Gringo, too, has a refined head (for an Appy/Andy cross ). Good luck!
