After speaking with Ki, I signed up for the Equinology FREE Equine Anatomy 50 course (there is a $15 charge for handling and shipping the certification of completion). Its an online course that includes a manual, a video and about 100 hours of homework. Also has a forum where one can ask questions.I just downloaded the manual and think it is a great intro to equine anatomy that any horse owner should get.*Its easy to follow, very comprehensive and it makes following biomechanic discussion, reading vet reports and just understanding how things work much easier. It looks like recently we have had more conversations that include anatomy and I thought because its free it would be ok to promote. If its an issue, please report and eliminate. I have no vested interest in posting this info other then bringing a useful tool to everyone's attention.

For me, even with having taken anatomy and dissection classes through Equinology and another two companies, I find that this is very useful to brush up on my anatomy which is a constant "job" for me as I have the memory capacity of a gnat. Anatomy is the cornerstone of serious bodywork, as far as I am concerned. And I know that in Europe, its part of the training program for the schools that graduate trainers. And when I speak with vets and other equine pros, I like to be able to understand exactly what they are saying, and vice versa. I know Ki is taking it so she may chime in. Anyone else took it already?http://www.equinology.com/info/course.asp?courseid=73
