We had our 3rd lesson today, and I've actually driven them at home by myself a few times this past week. I love seeing the progress with each drive :) Mehru (on the right with no white markings) had her 4th birthday this past Sunday - still such a baby - but she's trying really hard to be a 'grown up' and follows dad's lead.
Phoenix OTOH seems to like the company (even Bill noticed this) and he's being a good daddy - showing Mehru the ropes :D Of course *I* have a LOT to learn, too. So much more rein! And so much more horse! Bill had cones set up in the ring and I was quite happy to be able to drive them and only get one ball down. He also had me drive an easy path through the hazard. Mehru had never seen cones or a hazard but with Phoenix going at a steady, even trot, she just went right along with him.
It is definitely a challenge and I sure have a lot of work to do. But I so love training and the process. Such a satisfaction to see the progress :) :yes:
