I have been giving my two hard working horses 1.5 pounds of rice bran per day with their Blue Seal Vintage Performance LS (high fat/low starch..already has rice bran in it)

Both are in good weight right now.....I'm wondering if I should drop the rice bran (Max E Show Glo) for now (only pick it back up if they start losing weight)?

I guess my real question here is.....is it okay to feed rice bran in addition to a high fat/low starch feed?????

For what it's worth, I feed my hard keeper Natural Glo rice bran (about 1# daily) in addition to Triple Crown Complete, which has rice bran in it. I give just enough TC to mix in the supplements though, about 3qt, so I don't feed it at the recommended level. In the next month I may begin to wean her off of the natural glo and increase the TC, but I just started feeding the TC so we are still in the "experimental what keeps weight on stage".

I guess it depends on the amount of feed you are feeding, and you can always begin to wean them off of the max-e-glo and see if it makes a difference.
