I dont want to violate any rules of no advertising, but i was not sure if letting people know of a property available that is not mine applies...

From the forum rules and policies:

4. No advertising in the discussion forums.
Posts in the discussion forums directly or indirectly advertising horses, jobs, items or services for sale or wanted will be removed at the discretion of the moderators. Use of the private messaging feature or email addresses obtained through users’ profiles for unsolicited advertising is not permitted.

Paid advertising is available in the classifieds forums and through the purchase of banner ads. The tightly monitored Giveaways forum permits free listings of genuinely free horses and items available or wanted (on a limited basis). Items offered for trade are not allowed.

No advertising your stuff; no advertising anyone else's stuff.

At the top of the list of threads is something called "Forum rules and no-advertising policy." Also when you register you have to acknowledge that you have read and will obey the rules.

It does seem a little questionable though - if the OP isn't selling it and has no personal gain, would she not be allowed to let other people know of something she has seen that would benefit the group, or someone on the group?

I guess the question would be that then you could always have your friend post for you.

Buy a week classified in the Chronicle, if it isn't there are tons of decent horse websites that are free...

localhorse.com (used be be gahorse.com, now working on being national)
Floridahorse.com (if it's in FL anyway)

and tons of other regional sites....
