All Freestyles to Music from CHIO Rotterdam on-line (3 scores above 80%)

It was a very nice evening yesterday at Rotterdam. With a magnificent return of Imke Schellekens-Bartels and her Sunrise. This couple danced to the music of Wibi Soejardi as never before, every step was in sync with the music. Edward and Totilas showed (for the first time at an International Competition) that they are from another planet. And like Anky stated at the press-conference "The time is over that I could sit back and still win"

With Parzival and Painted Black back in training and Sander Marijnissen and Moedwil rising to the top, next to the fact that also Marlies van Baalen with Kigali and O'Jay are receiving better scores every week, it's going to be a tough decission for our national coach to pick the right team for the European Championship, because we also have Hans Peter who can rise to the occassion.

Oh my gosh, Theo! Those rides--one better than the next!

Salinero much better here than Cannes, much more through and loose and even. I do not think Sunrise has ever ever been this solidly good before, Imke must be over the moon and the stars!

ANd Totilas...must say that I love his music. I love the whole idea that there is this music, with emotion that fits, and Edward and the horse seem to be dancing to it as though moved by the music, rather than having the much more common "this is the bpm for the trot" and "this is the music that signals pirouettes" and so on.

Ages ago, Theodorescu once did a (possibly improvised) kur to some Hungarian folk tunes ,and this has nearly that kind of spontaneous quality, as though it is being created as the music plays on.

I'm on satellite, so have only so much stuff I can watch at one time,so chose Sander Marijnessen--just because I love to watch him when he pats his horse, reassures him, etc. He so obviously loves Moedwill! I hope they stay healthy and keep going, the horse has a lot of charm.

longwinded way of saying-- thank you.

bedankt!

Thank you thank you! Wonderful to watch. If only I could watch these competitions in person. Next year maybe . . .

The thrilling thing for me was that normally the score are getting higher and higher during a competition, while these scores are not always in sync with the quality of the perfomances. This time it was !!!, every performance was better as the previous one. Ofcourse (as always) Sjef wasn't satisfied, he stated at the pressconference "they all could have scored 5 % higher if they hadn't make so many mistakes." But he forgot to take in consideration that it was very new for this horses that the crowd started cheering and clapping during the test. Like Edward stated "it sounded like we were riding in Las Vegas".
