I am tiny and my horse is tiny and it has been impossible to find a saddle pad to use with my dressage saddle that doesn't get bum marks from my pony and make us look completely silly. Does anyone have any suggestions for a smaller dressage saddle pad that is under $30? I have always loved pri for my cc pads so I ordered a couple but even those are much to big.

I have the High Point Advantage pads and love them. They are a little more $$ than you wanted to pay.

I order them from netequestrian.com

You can also find them at

I have a 16.5" VERY short-flapped dressage saddle. I have been using those pretty Roma Ecole all-purpose pads for schooling and they look surprisingly not-bad. Plus if you look, you can find them on sale for $15 sometimes. I do like that child's dressage pad though - thanks for the link hrsgirl07!

Thanks for this thread and this post- I was also looking for a smaller pad for my daughter's 16" youth saddle, but she wanted colors!

I second the High Point pads: http://www.dressageextensions.com/ProductDetail.asp?KEY=2515 I used to use them on my pony all the time to show. I know they can come in others also. I ordered mine from Equus Now. They don't stock them, but they used to be able to order them since they carried other products from the manufacturer.

For schooling, I used the fitted dressage pads.

I am a small rider with short legs and Ive used a pony sized pad and it looked alot more proportionate than the regular pads did. Most companies make pony pads. I would find the measurements for the pad you want, and compare them to the pad you have and make sure your saddle flap isnt too long for the pad.
