Hi everyone.

Here are some pics of my second show with the greenies; I am very proud of them because it was a very hard journey. My chestnut gelding had sore feet from a bad trimming so he was very brave to make the intro class.
I have had 2 rounds of chemios the 2 week prior to the show so let me tell you now that riding a horse with light aids and proper one is absolutely true even with a greenie.

Dark bay hano cross Domingo, 17 hands.

I look puffy and I am actually, thanks to the meds and I did not want to buy a larger coat. At certain moment I had lack of energy and focus. I placed third with my dark bay.

I had a great support team otherwise it would have been a little bit harder I guess.

Thanks ! I am so proud of my greenies and felt blessed to ride them.

At their first shows, they were near state of panic, both of them looking everywhere. I manage to place 5th with the dark bay one despite great lack of focus.

The second show was a lot better. It was almost going at the picnic party.

Thanks !

Given the situation, I experienced what is really riding light, how much strenght we need in the body and breath ! Thank God both greenies respond very well to light pressure and were really focused on me !

I am looking for the third show now !

Fantastic job, and gorgeous horses. You give me hope that my own greenie will eventually settle in to the show environment (at some point, lol!)

You and both of the horses look lovely. It's great that you are out doing what you love and not letting cancer suck the living out of your life. You ROCK!

Thanks so much !

My chestnut was extremely tense and a friend of mine was at the show to help; she told me she have seen a problem with his front hooves. It appears he was extremely sore from a bad trimming. The next tuesday I had another farrier at home to fix this and the rest of my horses.
Since, he is so quiet and relax. I gave him a week off and I rode him today; a total different horse. He felt so miserable that now I am kicking myself being blind about this.

On another hand this one really enjoyed the places we went and has not spook at all. In fact he was really happy so this tells me he might not be the best dressage horse but a very good all around. I am planning some trails and really curious about how he will react.

ASB, the day I will stop riding, I'll be gone. It is not easy but I found ways to ride, my horses have good and solid mind and I use my experience to deal with situations. My support team is very good too !
