I'm hearing a report that 3 horses [QH or paints] were stolen in this area 5 days ago?
Can anyone confirm this?

I received this in an email from Irv Lichtenstein who is high up in the Search & Rescue org. for PA, Montgomery Co.:

I received an email today 6-17, that one was found at New Holland and the others are in Virginia awaiting pickup.

Please post far and wide to try to help get these horses home. All to often, stolen horses end up at low end auctions where they are sold for slaughter. If you are at an auction - even outside of PA, please keep your eyes open for these three horses.

Thanks.

Please Help Circulate This Information.

Y'all might want to read this thread over on the ABR/FOB board about it; seems there might be a bit of a twist to the story (starting around the 150th post):

Yes these horses were 'stolen' via technicality of sold for backboard but not through proper channels

The interesting post is #161. The whole thread seems quite odd.

The person reporting the horses stolen claims she cannot get a copy of the police report. Why the heck not? If you're in a car accident, you at least get a number if not an actual copy.

The "owner/victim" has no credit card or checking account to pay for missing horse ads. There is a history of horses being removed for neglect. The owner promised a reward.

There's more. Go to the link and read for yourself.

Geez, I thought anyone could get a debit card! No reason if you have ANY money int he bank that you can't use a credit/debit card to pay for things.

Something smells here.
