I don't know if this type of thread is permissible here, please forgive me if it's not, I've never posted under this forum before...

Lately, my love for horses and my passion to ride have been re-instilled in me and I have gotten my confidence back through the help of some very special horses. I have been looking through the MD Craigslist Ads for horses in MD.

About 2 months ago, A friend I grew up riding with me got back in touch and invited me out to see her new horse, well his buddy was a horse that I could ride, and so I gave it a shot, and before you knew it I was riding everyday!

The horse I had been riding came up for lease and my best friend came out to see him, and she fell in love. He is an aged TB who was an ex police horse and really perfect for a beginner and my friend is such, so she brought him home to our farm!

Riding him and teaching my friend to ride, has resparked my love and I have been riding another friends Morgans periodically, but I think I am ready for my own horse again.

I have been riding for awhile, and have worked in many disciplines in the Horse Sport field. I "retired" due to injury, and was waiting for a good time to start back up with riding. I have a beautiful farm, brand new everything, large outdoor arena, miles of trails available to me. It is a residential farm. We currently have 3 horses on the premises, and the one being the aged TB and the other 2 Morgans who have been together for many years. One dilemma we are facing that although they have accepted the TB, they don't let him "in" and we'd like to get a buddy for the old TB.

Since my itch for riding is back, I thought I'd get on and look at leases etc. I have a budgeted amount to care for a horse ( I have owned horses in the past, and am a an experienced horse-person) just not exactly enough to buy outright.

I thought I would come on here, and post that I am looking for a horse, 14.2-16h, Age not a huge deal but I will be looking to go on some extensive trail rides! Breed doesn't matter. Broke w/t/c and fairly sane, as trail riding is my real focus. Soundness important physical and mental. I don't need a super dead broke horse, just one that is sane enough to take out on the trails and knows it's basics.

I am more on the advanced riding level, but my confidence with the injury which is what has me a bit stuck.

I am looking to free lease at my place. Can be for the summer, or a year...I am negotiable.

I am able to provide a great home. In this market and these times, as much as owner's really would like to sell their horses, it's tough. I am not looking for an easy fix, I just thought that if I could find a situation that works for a horse owner and myself and ultimately a horse, that maybe would be worse off? (that sounds bad but not how I meant) I would just like to save a horse :)

Please PM me if you would like more Info. Thank you for r:cool:eading.
