How wonderfull it must be to have a horse that loves to work and has so many talent. Edward and Totilas did it again. German judge Kathrin Wuest and Dutch judge Francis Verbeek both rewarded the GP with almost 81%.
It was amazing to see how relaxed Edward and Totilas did their warmup and how relaxed they worked to the Grandprix which counted for the Team-competition.
Together with teammembers Anky & Salinero, Imke and Hunter Douglas Sunrise and newcommer Sander Marijnissen & Moedwill the Dutch team took 4 of the top 6 places.
Germany send a team with Professional Riders to Rotterdam.

A dutch friend of mine is a friend of Tosca, Totilas' owner. Last time she went to visit (and see Edward school Totilas at home !!) she understood Tosca to say that they are not planning to breed him anytime soon, but want to let him focus on his dressage career.

Thats why I really admire the Visser's family. I have seen so much problems coming from combining breeding and toplevel competition.

You could always breed to his sire, the Trakehner stallion Gribaldi, who is also the sire of Painted Black and many many other successful Grand prix Dressage horses. His fertility is excellent, as is his sire's Kostolany.

Its going to be great to watch this horse as he continues to mature and (dare I say it...) improve!?!
Interesting to note that Helgstrand and Carabas came 13th. Was he outclassed, or was his test not particularly consistent? Sorry - can't watch live stream as it is at bizarre times for us...

He is so incredible. I thought they gelded him. Is that not true?

Not true - good grief, why would they? Sidebar: Tosca and her husband also bought half of Bodyguard, who is also at Gal's and who is so fab, according to Hoefslag, that they have jokingly referred to him as "Botilas."
