Nervous and excited... first outing with the 4yo. We're heading to the eventing grounds. walk through some water, walk off the bank. See how she fair going away from other horses an what she thinks of the jumps ;)

We just did our first trot jumps this week (trot poles to a crossrail) and she was a star and better yet, seemed to like it and felt easy for the young mare.

Any tips? suggestions for good greenie stuff to do on course?

Oh what great fun!! Do pet and praise alot.

Be sure to leave a halter on under the bridle and take a long lead rope so that another rider can help pony you if there are any hesitations, like the water mostly. Best to be prepared vs start them learning that they 'can' not do something. Don't ask any questions that you can't answer.

Good luck and enjoy your green bean. I hope that she loves it. Let her be brave and pump her up when she is.
