Hope to get to meet a lot of folks next weekend - INCLUDING BECKY HOLDER!!!!!! Wow! Despite the heat (I say this with a 6:30 am riding time :D - I'm telling you, older is better!), we're going to welcome Becky to GEORGIA with a flourish! Couldn't ask for a better venue than Ashland Farm in Walnut Grove, GA. I'm looking forward to actually living there for a couple of days...may bring my little FLIP video and plead for someone to take some vidoes of Rasta and me...OH MY!!!!!!   As I said to Cookiepony today, y'gotta start somewhere -why not with one of the BEST!?

I'm jealous. I'd at least be auditing if I were home in SC. Enjoy Becky AND Ashland. I tell Ann Haller often I'd love to be there with her. They have fun!

I am hoping I get to go! Chase has spent most of the month conspiring to stay out of work. 2.5 weeks ago it was Colitis, last week he had an eye ulcer, and today he stepped on the clip of his band new shoe! Argh! The horse turned 8 and decided he didn't want to play anymore! But we are soaking and wrapping and hoping to go!

Linda -- have organizers sent out ride schedule to participants? Can you share?? I'm thinking about coming out to watch, but would like to know tentative schedule.

Thanks,
Lela

Well y'all have fun! I wish I could go, but have done *nothing* to get Alfie started this summer... stone bruises and abscesses are such a joy. I'm no where near clinic ready with him... not even schooling show ready.

But do have a great time, and do send a full report (with pics/Flip video). And STAY HYDRATED!

Will Do! - I am a land fish these days - water, water, EVERYWHERE I go!!!

I went to the one in Baton Rouge last weekend :D The heat was brutal but Becky's good about giving you a break whenever you need one. Enjoy it! It was a GREAT experience! I can't wait to go to the barn this evening and work on some of the exercises she taught.

following in DW's footsteps re: reporting on her clinic with Leslie Law this past weekend might be helpful here (maybe tlw will chime in too)...so, could you share some of the exercises you learned from Becky (I am just hoping to learn how to balance my unbalanced self and my pony at the trot!)

I, too, rode with Becky in Baton Rouge last week-end. We gave her a real southern hot weather welcome. She has a great eye and a wonderful attitude, whether you're a beginner or and old hand. Just pay attention and try to do the things she's telling you to do - you'll probably really see a difference in how your horse responds. Good luck and have a great time.

HAHAHA!!!

Uh, no! Alfie has jumped 12 inch cross rails but twice! I've ridden him, quite litterally, about 8 times since we began our partnership in March. I don't think I've even cantered him to the right!

I'm working on it though! Next year, save me a spot, Lynda!

I'll be there - can't wait!! Rode w/ her in Louisiana last Nov and had a blast. I think we've done our homework so we can now up the ante a bit.

Fingers crossed that the weather gods will be kind
