Iknow its a long way off but.. does anyone know where they are planning on hosting the AEC after this year. I believe this year is the last for it to be at Lamplight Equestrian Center. Any ideas?

Saw on the news feed on Eventing News USA this morning that it will be held at Chattahoochee Hills in 2010-not sure if this is official yet as I haven't seen anything on USEA's site yet.

Whooo hooooo!!! Chatt Hills is GORGEOUS!!!! It's in the Newnan/Fairburn area of Georgia, about... maybe 30 minutes from the Atlanta airport. It's only an hour and a half from my house, which is 15 minutes to the horse park. :) :) :)
I'm soooooo aiming for it!! Though, in a way...the road trip part was quite fun! Though... I did it BEFORE gas went through the roof!
Also, I've heard that rumor too and believe it to be fairly accurate... just not quite 100% official... I believe I heard that the official word will go out later this summer...or something like that.

YIPPPEEEE!
I am hoping to go to the Hoochie trial next spring anyway. It's the closest GA HT to Texas.
I don't know about Boomer but hopefully I'll have a pretty fancy lil 5 year old for the YEH Champs.

If it's really going to be at Chatt Hills they have some work to do on things like stabling, electricity, etc. but the courses can't be beat. The place is like a fairy land and the courses I've ridden there have been old school, gallopy, fun courses. Carl B. and his staff (Rich Temple, etc.) will do it right. I'm very excited that it might really be there.

This is so cool! We've qualified every year they've had an AEC but have never been able to make the long trip from Louisiana. 7 hours to Chatt Hills is nothing. What a treat this will be.

Nice. I was just wondering where they would be, since I know there's no way I'll be able to raise the funds to qualify in time for 2009, let alone make the trip there. Chatt Hills is just about as far from me as Lamplight so at least most of my tentative number-crunching still carries over!

Subk,
My guess is that it will be the same date as the AECs this year, the second weekend in September. The reason being that all the Areas have shuffled their dates around to give the AECs a wide berth. Think about an event scheduled near, or worse on, the same date - even if you're based well away from their location, you will still lose those "leader" instructors & riders who will be attending the AECs so your numbers would be well down.
