Well I was stuck in fields during the race so have to wait for replay. I'm so delighted for connections. The problem for the Euros is they don't actually race from the gate to the wire. Although that might change if more Americans start coming to Ascot!

Yeah Terri, she left the gate like a bullet and it was catch me if you can for the rest of the race. Very unsporting of Velasquez to be riding American style like that :)..... it's just not cricket old boy.

The English bookies are running scared of Ward now... the rest of his runners this week have had their prices slashed.

Sad side story to all this is that Rene Douglas was supposed to be the jock for Ward's horses, fullfilling a life long ambition of his to ride at Ascot, until his horrific accident turned his life upside down. Kudos to Ward for giving a shoutout to Douglas in the post race interview and acknowleging his part in prepping the horses.

I'd read that he gave Rene the credit for getting the horses ready. That is the only downside this story at Ascot this week.

Ward is now 2 for 3 at Royal Ascot, a very impressive showing indeed. His babies are fast and anyone that tries to chase is wasted in the effort. Jealous Again looked great today winning the G2 Queen Mary for 2yo fillies.
