I think my little guy is sound enough to start looking at going to horse trials, so I'm planning on going to Gemwood since it's listed as a nice move up course.
I was hoping to stable with other COTHERs. I'm going to camp in my trailer.
Who is going?

Well, I'll be there. Can't help you with the stabling arrangements though since I'll be announcing and not competing. Good luck!

DW, are you thinking about going to Gemwood?

I entered 2 of my mares N & T! The novice is a move up and the training mare has been on paid vacation since her February pasture accident.

Now Quin wants to see his girls again Cindylouwho. Maybe we'll have to go. Hubble missed South Farm with a stone bruise, so I was thinking of taking him out P. Convince me, please?

Wow, I remember when Hubble and Bonnie were doing BN together, like their first time EVER, in 2005? Now I'm freaking about moving her up to Training and Hubble is a Prelim pony! :) Good on ya.

We might maybe, its a possibility, I would really like too, its closer to home than anything else.
it depends if I go be a working student at a dressage barn for the rest of the summer, and if I have the money/ride there if we can go.

Nancy, the girls would love to spend the weekend with your boys. Love is in the air..... They are still talking about how handsome Quin is and are waiting for an 8X10 photo for their stalls. Hubble is a prelim pony and that is a great prelim!
I mostly likely will get a hotel room, so if you want to bunk up, let me know.
Hope to see you there!

Would you all like to have a "COTH" stabling group, or something like that?

DW--the T3D was my key for the move up last year. I can't say enough good things about it. If it were up to me, it would be mandatory. I still pick and choose the P courses until he has more experience. It would be fun to see everyone. Cindlouwho, I will PM you.

I was thinking of doing Prelim at Gemwood, but I am going to wait and see how my T3D goes before I enter. If I go I will be camping also, and probably in a tent :(. How is the Prelim XC, a few people have said its a good move up course? My fears are large tables and my horses fears are water, how are those obsticals at Prelim?

At Greater Dayton there were two decent sized tables (although one had brush on it so maybe not technically a table?). No water then, don't know if they'll have some by Gemwood. Otherwise it felt like the perfect move up prelim to me- it was our first. I have a picture of us jumping the one table- pm me your email if you want me to send it to you.

Okay, so in searching for a past thread I just saw this. I'm going! It'll be our second novice. I would have been up for stabling in a COTH group had I found out earlier. As it is, I'm debating heading over Friday night or Saturday before Dressage. We're only 1.5 hours from Twin Towers, already have the stall, but coming over Saturday wouldn't help out with stabling cost as it's a "flat rate." So who all has decided to go?

I've decided not to go. It was just too soon after getting back into a regular routine. Last night was the second time we jumped since Harry ran up a lovely vet bill and decided he must wear the equivalent of Prada on his handsome feet.
We are going to go Penny Oaks instead. I hope Gemwood is going to have enough entries. I regret that it was too soon for us. It's certainly on my list to go to next year.

See ya'll Saturday (if not Friday night when we bring our trailer out -- I get cush accommodations this time!)

Had to withdraw from TR today. Thank you farrier for the hot nail during last weeks reset. Two vet visits, soaking and packing and I still have one lame horse. Will be there to watch. Good luck to everyone.

I'll be there. Headed down on Friday. Look for the brown/white pinto with the googly eyes.
