View Full Version : Opinions on Chelsea Zimmerman (as a trainer/instructor)

I'm mainly a jumper rider (ha.... if I could ever find the time or money to compete!), but I did lesson and clinic with a decent eventing trainer out east for a while and found it fun... until she continued to pressure me to ditch my own horses and compete heavy duty on hers, which of course, were for sale.....

I've heard nothing but good things about Chelsea locally. But, the local scene is certainly very different than the east coast!

Thoughts, good, bad, indifferent? Feel free to PM or email (margaret.desarno@gmail.com)

I've got, what I think, is a spectacular young prospect for the jumper or eventing world. I'd rather put him with a h/j trainer, but can't find one in our county that I'd trust with him. He's the super talented, sensitive, smart kind that can easily be ruined. I'm looking for someone who can continue to work with him most of the year while I am in school, and hopefully find someone who would like to catch ride or lease him, eventually. He, like all the horses ever passed through our hands, is never for sale. And, following my philosophy, we're in no rush, and looking to see what the horse will excel in.... not force the horse to do one thing or another. If he's only trail riding quality, thats fine.... but since he takes fun in jumping out of his paddock, it's worth seeing how he goes over fences.
