I found a very nice pair of leathers for sale and they are 58". I know the average size is 54"; however I am 5'6 with long legs. Do you think 58" could still be ok for me or should I stick to a 54"?

I think it depends on the brand because my old leathers were 54" and I used one of the top 3 holes. The new ones I just got are also 54" and the hole I used is somewhere in the middle. I'm about 5'7 with very long legs also.
If you think it's too good of a deal to pass up, you could always take them into a leather place, get extra holes punched and the excess cut off.
Are they online, or could you bring your old leathers in to compare?

They're Prestige and they're online with no return because of their super low sale price. Like you said, I guess I could just get the excess cut off if they end up being too long.

One of my customers got a pair of the 54s the other day and had to return them for the bigger size.. they were too short to even fit through keepers. She's probably 5'7 and very long legged.. but still. I would tend to think they'd probably be ok. If the price is that good you can always punch a hole or two and have them trimmed at the bottom.
