Mistery is a been-there done-that bay Morgan gelding. 16h, big build, experienced doing eventing & jumpers. He is a blast to ride, bold & brave but will whoa. Bombproof, can do everything from being a great husband horse on trail rides to being someone's successful jumper or eventer. 100% sound & barefoot, easy keeper. 18 years young. Doesn't have enough of a job in his owner's growing hunter barn. Owner is looking to place him in a free lease situation. Contact Holly Rebello 860-377-8299. Located in Lebanon, CT.

Do you have any pictures? Any negatives on him like bad loader, ground manners etc? How is he under saddle as well?

Really nothing wrong with him? Is he very old? I have a couple Morgan-loving middle-aged trail rider/light dressage friends who might be interested. Does he drive?

Updated original post to state owner is looking to place him in a free-lease situation (I was incorrect when I wrote she was looking to give away).

Good ground manners, doesn't kick or bite or try to push you around. Under saddle he is forward & brave but not spooky or crazy. He will whoa easily but keeps himself going forward.

Nothing wrong with him, really. We all pretty much do hunters, he's just not that huntery type with his Morgan neck ;) He is 18 but he isn't "old and arthritic" like some 18 year olds. He hasn't driven in 14 years that his owner has had him.

If I could afford to board another I'd snap up one like this for me and the DH. I passed the info on to a couple of friends in the area.

Awww, I love Morgans! How's his dressage? I'd love a nice sound older horse for light ring work and trail riding!

Some things will need fine tuning as he hasn't done a lot of dressage recently, but he knows shoulder in, haunches in, knows what it means to move laterally from your leg, etc (we do those things with him)

Would he be appropriate for a beginner/advanced beginner rider? I know a mother and daughter who are looking for a horse at the barn I board at. They would take very good care of him. Located in Vermont. Would you consider letting him come to Vermont?

I don't think he would be appropriate for a beginner child. At the walk and trot he'll go around without much work from you, at the canter he needs a tune up on balancing through the corners, jumping he is forward. I couldn't imagine one of my little beginner kids riding him, however I could imagine my advanced beginner husband riding him. Hope that helps at all? Let me know if you need more details.
