GOOD LUCK TO ROCKY AT HIS NEW HOME IN MICHIGAN! :)
"Rocky" (Powerscourt - Rockaspell, officially unnamed) is a bay TB yearling offered to a good home. His owner does not want to send him to Keeneland this fall; the pedigree is not very commercial (too European), and in the weak market this yearling will not sell well.
I've known Rocky since he was born. He was a very friendly foal, loves people, pretty smart, with lots of personality (without being pushy or obnoxious). He has been boarded at a different farm since last Sept, so I haven't seen him in a few months, but I will go check on him soon and get current pictures.
Owner does NOT want him to be a racehorse; possibly a steeplechaser, but not a flat racer. Would prefer him to have a sporthorse career. Rocky is sound, fairly correct (no procedures); owner says he is a bit narrow through the chest, and a lacks a little depth through the hindleg. There is nothing wrong with this horse... he just isn't likely to be a good racehorse, and owner is doing the right thing trying to find him a better home. I would love to make an eventer out of him, if I only had the room!!

He is Rockaspell's first foal. She herself is fairly tall (16.2), leggy, well-balanced, but a little light-boned. She has a good brain, decent movement. I sometimes wish I could make her into a sporthorse instead of a broodmare. ;)
Powerscourt (http://www.coolmore.com/stallions/america/powerscourt/) won almost $2M and stands at Ashford Stud.
