Sorry, but I have my own 20 something now no one wants him retired been-there-carried-your-friggin-kids-everywhere pony to baby til he decides to die. Just a DOLL he is- but old and tired and no one would want him. I'm stupid so I'll take him, thanks.
I'm sick of unwanted sad horses. Just sick of the whole damn deal :(

According to the past performances the site links to at the top for him, the BREEDERS were also the OWNERS and the TRAINER. His sire was only standing for $12,500 a couple years ago so the connections actually made money on this horse before he dissapeared last November.

I sent some $$. If the pics are correct, that is one seriously depressed horse. 6 years old, obviously in pain physically and mentally. I have to wonder why the rescue has not euthanized him if they cannot do the diagnostics.. a "locking knee" does not sound like a good thing...
This just makes me so angry. Please, OP, repost this on the racing board and let's find out if someone knows how to get a hold of the people who bred and raced this horse.

I'm with EqT ... if there's no money for diagnostics, then this poor guy should be euthanized. Lame in three feet, a knee issue, a stifle issue and an obviously depressed and very sore horse. It doesn't sound like this guy's issues are going to be easy (or cheap) to resolve, and quite honestly there are worse ways to go than being euthanized.
I'm going to hope for a miracle anyway.

Well if any miracles can happen its on COTH!! I have seen it time and time again!
Come on COTHERS - lets help this guy!

Well, I sent his old trainer a note. Let's hope that he does the right thing.. whatever that may be at this point.
The comment about buting him and leaving him in peace gives me a really bad feeling.

A representative from Neighsayers posted a message on the Racing board thread on Brown Nose.

So why not just put him down if he's suffering and save the money for something that has a better chance at finding a home and a pain free riding life?

Apparently he is doing better and at this time the vets and the organiztion feel he has a chance.
