I'm looking for info on Bernstein 761...
I just saw a video and though I have very little experience with Swedish Warmblood lines (I'm a "German" Girl myself) I would be interested in him as I believe he would be a PERFECT cross to one of my mares! Does anyone have frozen semen? How are his get? Any info would be much appreciated...:D
thanks!

I am not able to help you with aquiring the semen from him but I have ridden/worked with one of his offspring. A breeding farm I use to work at imported a mare by Bernstein 761. She had the most incredible mind you could ever ask for in a horse!! She has been a very successful broodmare most of her life, who produces the nicest offspring!! She was trained and used in beginner/advanced lessons very successfully after just months of training (She was 3-4 years old at the time). She would also jump anything you put in front of her!! Just an all around nice mare!!

My riding horse is a 10 year old gelding by Bernstein. (out of a Jauguar mare). I wasn't even looking, but the moment I sat on him, I knew I had to have him!!! He is fun to ride, was in the 4, 5 and 5 year old FEI finals in Sweden. 3 super gaits!
He is currently at a very good GP trainer who is getting him up to speed for me (I unfortunately have to sell, too many horses) and she LOVES him! Says he could easily do GP in 1-2 years. playing now with p and p and he just does everything well!
I have seen "many" of his get in Sweden and they are all nice! For breeding, I don't know how his semen is, but the only thing I would consider is the size of the mare. A lot of his offspring are around 16- 16.1 hands if that is of concern.
Best of luck

Where I work we have a Bernstein daughter and she is a very special mare. http://www.stonehavenfarm.ca/joyride.html
She was awarded Most Promising Dressage Mare as a 3yo and Most Promising Gaits Horse as a 4yo. All 3 gaits are impressive and very big!
Prior to being imported she was under saddle and while we have had her we've ridden her and her willing temperament is wonderful. She also has produced some exceptional foals for us and now is retired from breeding and rules the farm.
Last week we brought in a granddaughter of Bernstein (her dam is Baccara) and she too has a lot of him in her. I absolutly love the Bernstein line!
I can email a friend and see if she knows of any frozen if you'd like?
