I loved it too. Looks like they are going to show it again on ABC. Wish I could record it but my VCR doesn't work. Would be great if it showed up on You Tube.

I always look forward to Kenny Mayne's "Dance Center" when they get towards the end of a season of "Dancing With the Stars." The guy has a great sense of humor.
However, I am never going on a long car trip with him and Chip Wooley. I would end up having to kill them and leave their bodies in a ditch after the first ten hours.

Chip Wooley turned out to be a pretty good sport in all the hoopla. Must be quite the character to hold his own with Kenny.
Ever since the Derby I couldn't place who Chip's voice reminded me of. Today I decided it is a combination of Dennis Weaver and Larry of Newhart's Larry, Darryl and Darryl.

I corresponded with Kenny after he wrote an article on Cigar in relation to the premature birth of his twins. Unfortunately they passed away. He is a supporter/spokesperson for Ronald McDonald House. When my first son, Seamus, was born prematurely I read the article. I wrote Kenny and he emailed me back so kindly.
I saw him in the Hartford, CT airport (Bradley) one October night. He was watching the end of the Yankee/Red Sox playoff game, although I can't remember which game, the Yankees won in extra innings. I went over and introduced myself to him as the person who wrote him a letter about the above. He was very kind and gracious and happy to see how healthy Seamus was (2 years maybe?) as he ran pell-mell around the lobby of the hotel in the airport.
Kenny has occasionally responded personally to my emails about Malcolm's birth and progress.
He is very funny, but he is also a very kind man.

Gulp. I guess I have to be in the severe minority. While I found some of the bit funny, I also cringed quite a lot. But I agree that Chip was a very, very good sport!

Gawd, I thought it was awful too. The words were funny, but the delivery was terrible. Oh, well. Not everyone is an actor.

That's what made it funny to me...

Of course the delivery is going to be terrible, because they aren't actors! I agree with others that Chip is a good sport and looks like he is having a good time despite all the roadblocks, doubts, etc that he has faced. He has taken it all without a whine or a complaint. Not many would have sat back quietly while jockeys jumped on and off their horse. He had a lot of people still doubting his horse after the Derby. Heck they mispelled his (the trainers) name on the stall at the Preakness!
I think it was great and the fact that Chip can laugh at himself and some of the crazy stuff that has gone on the last several weeks is great.

Ditto - Woolley a good sport, rest of it a total bore. These things are so artificial and a waste of time. I find Mayne very irritating and not at all funny.
