Please tell me more! He certainly looks impressive! Any foals on the ground yet? How are people finding semen quality?

He was at the 70 day test with Benidetto, and I really liked him! 3 good gaits, a big impressive horse! Good topline and type as well. He is very tall (they said 176 at that time, as a coming 4 year old, I stood right next to him, celle has him listed as 17.2). He is NOT a jumper in any shape or form, and had to be "helped" on every cc jump....

I think his canter however was a 10 on the CC. If I had a smaller mare that I wanted to add some height too, I would say do it.

I don't know about his frozen.

Best of luck!

This is Floriscounts first breeding season as he is just four. Really super horse with very good gaits and was a superstar at his 70 day test!
I bred a mare in Germany to him and she took with one insemination. I am sure they will freeze him and hopefully he will be available next year in the US.
He is a tall boy at 17.0........

You can read more about him at www.gut-fuechtel.de

Thanks for that, I have heard a good buzz around him, mare he would be used on is barely 16 hands, tad hot and a short foreleg so would be hoping to improve on this?

Forgot to add in UK so have access to chilled potentially.

Yes, Zara, I think Floriscount has been very busy breeding! He is approved for Hanover and the state stud in Celle, so he is breeding many Hanoverian mares as well as Oldenburg. I think he is special and I would give him a chance and breed to him. I did!
His Dam , Arkona has a licensed son by Sandro Hit at Flinge. Floriscounts full brother (I think his name is Florimax), sold as a foal in one of the Vechta auctions for a lot of money!!!
Go for it!

I was with Linda at that stallion test and really liked what I saw. I have than tried to keep track where he may be stationed for breeding to inquire more.
I have gone as far as ordering his Video for further decision. But I than pulled out as the relevant mare is quite tall and has produced a foal that for sure will not end in the 16hh "area" so I had to choose someelse for her. And the other mare is already by Florencio ;-)
But yes I am looking forward to the foals by him next year.

In case anyone is interested in seeing a videoclip of Floriscount .. check out my amateur video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCIaVx6OI8g
We went to the stallion show at Rulle this spring specifically to see this boy and really, really liked what we saw.. I am thinking of breeding him to my Hanoverian/TB mare to add both height and substance.... and maybe some of that awesome uphill canter as well ;-))
Enjoy!

Floriscount is coming five...first foal crop is this year. Very well received. Beautiful heads and perfect conformation and movement. Floriscount debuted this stallion season in Verden at the stallion show under the spotlight showing his suppleness, elasticity, and wonderful temperament. Breathtaking! Last weekend he was in the Boeckmanns stallion show and they had a few of his first foals...
very positive results. He was a star.
He did very well in his 70 day test . Won the dressage (148? trying to remember...... a very good score and 2nd over all). He is very popular in Oldenburg and in Hanover........I am told Judy Yancy will be handling his semen in the US. I have a mare in Germany in foal to him due soon. Will let you know.
Also My mare "Remember" in foal to Statesman is due this month. Can't wait to see this one! Statesman and Floriscount grew up together.
Happy foaling to all.........isn't it fun??????????

Just saw my first one! a filly out of Benidettos full sister. Hope she grows into her head, lol while it was a Donnerhall one for sure (dam has beautiful head). But other wise correct and good looking filly. All ground is frozen in Germany, so didn't see her move yet, but will post video.

He was surely one of my faves along with Dancier and Avagon at the celle stallion show. Could be more elastic imo. Will be interesting to see more foals!

Good luck Ann with yours!

Floriscount is owned by Clemens Graf von Merveldt in Vechta Gremany. He is trained and shown by Clemens. Floriscount is available for breeding at Boeckmanns stable. Floriscounts first foals are ariving now.........and are proving to be super nice.
Royal Monaco..you were talking about the horse in Canada ? I get it!

Hijacking me too, I've just had a closer look at the Florencio/Davignon, Florencion Son, spoke before, as I too live in Quebec, and he appens to have a pretty good damline:

http://www.paardenfokken.nl/family.php?horseid=15187

Granddam Rumirell is also dam to Romanov and Rubin Royal, as well as 3 other approved stallions. If we look further, it happens that Couleur Rouge, Couleur Rubin and De Luxe are also part of this mare family.

I know that as a youngster he got injured and then started his dressage training later. He is trained by an FEI level dressage rider in our province so I'm not worry to see him hit the show grounds very soon.

Just wanted to add a little for those who inquired, as this one is available in fresh and might be an option for the ones who likes the bloodlines, but want to stay with fresh semen. Her owner is a very nice person, and will certainly happily reply to your inquiries about her boy.

Back to Floriscount... and sorry for the interruption :D

Zara.......go to www.gut-fuechtel.de and ask Clemens if he has any pictures of video footage. He just might.........I know after the Celle show Clemens and his wife tripped around to see some of the newborn foals and they were both walking on air! They will have the first one born in their stable this month. Can't wait to see what I get from My Dormello mare.

That is great news Ann! We need to see piccies! Looking forward to Statesman's first crop too, i have him penciled down for a few of my mares for this season, maybe next. I am flying out to go see the show on the 24th April at Gut Fuchtel. Will anyone else be going? I hope to take lots of pictures :)

Ann, who was the rider at the stallion show of Statesman?

Anywaym, due to the HUGE size :D:lol: of Floriscount, (17.2 hands now, the 172 cm is from when he was 2, lol) I am using him on my smaller Londonderry/Wittinger/Grande mare in Germany in a few weeks.

The breeder of the Floriscount/Benidetta/Belissimo is saying she is developing some nice gaits (and hoping she will grow into her head). But my mare has a very fine head and throws that, so not too concerned there.

Will get a video of her soon and will post.

Linda, I don't know who the rider was at the Celle stallion show. Statesman is stationed near there now. Clemens saw him this past weekend with a different rider and he said he looked good.

I did get a lovely filly from my Depardieu mare. I hope his first foal crop is a good one.

Also glad you are breeding to Floriscount!

Linda, To answer your question re: Statesman. His new rider is John McCormick. Clemens just sent me the photos of Floriscount and Statesman from the show this past weekend. Both stallions look super and they had a couple of Floriscounts first foals. Super!
I await my Floriscount foal and Statesmans little sister or brother.........

Congratulations Anne - I gather from Clemens that she is very beautiful, would love to see some photos when you have them!! We are now on watch for our Statesman baby it is due today but very difficult to assess what is going to happen as it is Fortunie's first foal so the signs as not so obvious! A few sleepless nights I guess!

Wow, got to see Floriscount this weekend in Germany. He was just superb! His foals were great, beautiful heads, fantastic fronts and all move beautifully. Ann had the most amazing Floriscount colt, he got Sieger Fohlen (Champion foal of the day!) Congrats Ann!
