That's it. It is a big deal for me, him and his late mother.
Theo knows the translation, as do Coreene and a few others.

Liz,
Do you have any offspring you can present in the Dutch keurings this fall?
I'm interested to see what they think will be his best crosses with his strong Gelderlander dam line.

I decided to check out Olivers's page and see what all the fuss was about! Oh My! What a beautiful stunning stallion! And he looks to be a super all - alrounder as well.

We have several yearlings and a two year-old. I don't usually bring them to keurings at that age, since they are often at awkward points in their development. I hope some of our mare owners will bring their foals as we have some real knockouts this year.
Liz posts as StarDoozer, to avoid confusion.

Do you expect the Gelderlander breeders in Holland will use him?

What a success story! Huge congratulations! Oliver is simply stunning in print and video, I can only imagine how he must be in person!
How do you say his name? Someone who knows your daughter told me his name is pronounced "O-live-ee-ay"; as in Lawrence O. - is this true? Or is it Oliver like the movie?
I believe he would have to be 75% gelderlander with only 25% improvement blood to be available to the gelderlander breeders. I think he is 62.5%?
Is he the first approved Idocus son? Are there plans to make is semen available overseas?
You must be so proud!:)

His name is pronounced "Oh-liv-e-ay"- like Lawrence Olivier. Although to anyone that meets him, his name is Fizzy. He is a spirited, kind, charasmatic horse who insists on always being the center of attention.
Thank you guys so much for all the replies, I am so proud of him and so proud to get to ride him. He makes me smile every day. I can't wait to start showing his offspring- they are unreal and have his same amazing character.

There are other licensed/approved Idocus sons in different registeries but Fizzy is the only stallion approved by the Dutch.
Did any of his offspring born in Holland go forward into the testing process?

Olivier, like Lawrence, yes.
And, yes, he is most amazing in person. He is kind of like his own planet.
I don't know the percentages for the Gelders, but it would be lovely if they thought he could bring something to that table.
As Sally Ann said, Idocus has offspring in several registries who are approved. Olivier is the only one who going through the KWPN process, so far.

Thanks and yes, I do want to clone him.
My biggest regret is that I was not able to repeat this cross again as Rowillie became too old.
However, that said, I have a line-bred filly who appears to be the reincarnation of her grand-dam. Her name is Dayowillie and she is a yearling. Time will tell.

And thank you to ALL of you for your kind thoughts.
How many horses get to live their entire lives with the same family, get to compete internationally with someone they have known since they were a foal and get to abuse the aforementioned people on a daily basis?

And your family the stars in his solar system...Great description.
I'd like to meet him. Let us know if he comes to California, and I'll make the drive to see him.
