Since there have been numerous threads about this wonderful stallion over the years and no one else has posted this yet, I will. Please see the lovely article Pat Limage (Bae Prid Farm) wrote for the American Hanoverian Society announcement of "Kid's" passing --

Godspeed Kid!

I know his offspring are very well thought of, and I certainly treasure my Wallstreet Rose. She is lovely inside and out. He was a wonderful stallion.

In his later years he taught total beginners to ride and gave advancing riders the feel of collection, piaffe, and flying changes.

How cool is that  Everyone should be lucky enough to have a "regular" horse who can do that, but to have a *stallion* be good enough for that is something special.

I never knew much about him, but it's clear he was one of a kind indeed

RIP "Kid", you are already missed!

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that, I LOVED my Wallstreet Kid boy (http://www.neighland.com/Brady), he was Mr. Personality, as was Kid when I met him!! My condolences to Pat, and the Bae Prid gang!!

That is so upsetting. I was at his Licensing, and his 100 Day testing. We had his son, Wallstreet Rally in my barn for a couple of years - lovely gaits! I really wanted a full sibling sister. Pat, my thoughts are with you. He was a wonderful sire, and will be missed.

Oh no! Pat lives fairly closeby but we haven't seen each other for a long time. I know of no one (barring me) who loved her stallion as much she loved Kid. In fact I bred to him many years ago, but unfortunately lost the foal. Several Kid babies boarded here and/or passed through my farm in training over the years... all fantastic movers. He was extremely prepotent. A wonderful sire.

RIP Kid...and many hugs to Pat. He was her "boy"...what a terrible loss.

My friend owns Wallstreet Week who is just an amazing hunter and possibly the best moving hunter I have ever seen. Last year, he had a horrible accident and had only a 10% chance of survival, but because of his amazing attitude he went on to not only live, but to be back in the ring happy and healthy less than a year later. I have gotten to watch his progress and he is just one special horse that is a tribute to his sire Wallstreet Kid. I have always admired the stallion and so his passing is sad. Prayers with the owner and friends.

Thank you for posting. I adore my Kid baby Wayland Nash and he sounds very much like Kid from Pat's article. My sympathies to you Pat and my thanks as well for sharing Kid with us all! Kicking my self now for not breeding back to him years ago!

True black and very sweet. Love that Warkant bloodline like Wahajama-Unicef carries.

It is a sad loss, and while twenty still seems too young, it seems he had a very happy life. And he certainly lives on through many wonderful babies.
