Used Saddles

What are the best places online to look for used saddles (under $1,500)? Only one place withing a 2 hour drive does consignment, so I'm gonna look there too. But I would really rather buy a used saddle than a new one.

Many people are having good luck with ebay. Also try french-used-saddles.com. If you know what brand you want, you can do a google search to find websites carrying that particular brand.

For under $1500 saddles, try www.usedsaddles.com. They have everything from Wintec to CWD. Also, a trade-in option for your old saddle, a great trial policy, plus you can try more than one saddle at a time.

Also go to Beval's website and click through to their used saddles site. I forget what it's called but there's a link from their saddles page I know. They have a big selection.

Not sure what you're looking for, but Trumbull Mountain has a list on their website- great customer service, and a liberal trial policy.

I found a used Childeric under that price range at Rick's Heritage - their trial policy was great and they were really pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend them!

I believe that some places like Dover and SmartPak have some used saddles also. Ebay and Usedsaddles.com are two other good places to look at.

Antares carries used saddles. Call them and see what they have in stock. Often times they have saddles there that are not on the website. They carry most of the upper end saddles, they get them in on trades.

Yes, these sites are great, but be forewarned. You may have a hard time finding what you want under that $1,500 ceiling. Move that up to $2,500 and your saddle set will get bigger. If you and your horse are a conventional size, things will be even better.
