Aunt Esther

Aunt Esther, national and international Purse Champion, has long been an upstanding member of this fine internet bulletin board.
Aunt Esther, alarmed at the lopsided voting in the current Special Horses.org fundraiser, THROWS DOWN THE GAUNTLET!
Aunt Esther is alarmed that with only 13 days left to vote, there are two glaring issues:
1. the total does not yet equal $3000!
2. horses represending Heartland and Sunkissed Acres need more votes!
Now Aunt Esther is absolutely delighted to see that Willem and Oliver are heading up the charge to bring in great numbers for Equihab and TIER. But she is deeply saddened that Heartland and Sunkissed Acres - both desperately in need of funds as well - are lagging behind.
Aunt Esther would like to point out the following, however:
1. SUNKISSED ACRES - Aunt Esther herself is up for voting for Sunkissed Acres, and yet for some unfathomable reason SHE IS NOT IN THE LEAD IN THE SUNKISSED ACRES VOTING. Aunt Esther points out that MANY MANY times she has come galloping to the fashion aide of many a member of this fine internet bulletin board, and suggests that it's time to pay up. If you have ever laughed at Aunt Esther, or gone to her for advice, or even read a post and thought "Piss off you old bat," open your wallet and vote for her!
2. HEARTLAND - Coreene, another member of this fine internet bulletin board, was so saddened that there were not more horses up for voting for Heartland that she put up her VERY FIRST HORSE who was called Horsie. This is a photo of the fine duo http://specialhorses.org/?page_id=812 Coreene points out that next to Jake, Horsie and Rosalie are the only two horses up for voting for Heartland. And both Aunt Esther and Coreene think this is very, very wrong. But Aunt Esther does point out that one can remedy the situation by voting for either Horsie, Rosalie or Jake and bring in as much funding as possible.
Aunt Esther wonders how many of you have seen photos of horses that were so thin that each and every bone stuck out. Or a horse that was so thin that his hipbones were not only sticking out, they had actually popped through the skin.
Have you seen this? Aunt Esther has, in person. So has Coreene. The memory of the poor horses, still filled with nobility despite their sadness, forever left hoofprints on their hearts. Both made a promise to those horses that they would do their best to make sure it never happened to another.
Sadly, these horses did not survive. Their bodies were too far gone to save. But you can make sure that the rescues here do stay with us. Aunt Esther realizes that in these very stressing economic times, not everyone has a spare $20. But do you have a spare five dollars? All it takes is one vote. If you vote one time, and another member of this fine internet bulletin board votes one time, etc etc etc, Aunt Esther is sure that both Sunkissed Acres and Heartland can pull even in the voting with TIER and Equihab.
Aunt Esther would like to see at least $3000 in total voting, and points out that as of today we are at $2400.
WHEN THE VOTING GETS TO $2900, AUNT ESTHER WILL THROW IN $100 TO GET IT TO THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS. AUNT ESTHER HOPES THAT YOUR VOTES WILL GO TO THE HEARTLAND AND SUNKISSED ACRES HORSES. THEY ARE THE TWO BEHIND IN THE VOTING RIGHT NOW.
