Jessi P PM'd me yesterday, asking about these two older geldings. Some of you may remember them. Sleetwood Mac was at Mountaineer, and then came to Finger Lakes. He was an older warrior, with an excellent record. Some of you donated money to buy him when he was ready to retire. Le Numerous was another older warrior, who the trainer offered to us when the time came to retire them both. Through the combined efforts of Jessi P, the members of COTH and FLTAP, we were able to secure them both.
Jessi P wondered how they were doing. I remembered that FLTAP had been able to place them with a rescue out West. I contacted that rescue and was pleasantly surprised when I received a prompt and courteous reply.
Both horses are fine, and have been adopted. Max, as we called him, was adopted very quickly and is now a beloved pasture pony, turned out with other TB's on a lovely, big pasture. It seems that adopter is a COTHer, so, thank you very much for giving him a great life.
Le Numerous was also adopted, by a long time volunteer at the rescue. He is now a pleasure horse, and his new owner is very happy with him.
So, a happy ending for both of these very worthy guys. And, another thank you from me, for caring enough to help them to find their new homes.
