When did he split with Hooper? I figured Tim could handle anything after putting up with Lake all those years.

Just happened last week. It was in the works for about a month, though, so not totally a surprise.

I don't know anything about the man personally, but OMG - the myectomies, the euthed horses, the fact that no trainer can stand him for more than a fleeting moment... The more I hear about him, the sicker I get to my stomach.

I didn't put Shuman or Robb on the list because I'm trying to keep it to the last year.

Nah, just fun to track the soap opera. I don't think many would take the job if offered. I know about a dozen who were asked and politely said no. And I really don't think Gill is a real bad person, just fun to watch his operation and how he runs it.

I've heard that he likes to run the show the way he wants to - he does pay the bills - and then either the trainers get tired of it and quit or Mr. Gill let's them go.

Some trainers last only a week, some a for several months even a year.

One trainer started claiming horses from Gill immediately after getting fired.

The sad thing is the Gill operation, no pun intended, is one of the more interesting things to track over a long year's time when we don't have the TC or Breeders Cup.

As far as the comment that he pays the bills.. that is "in theory" he pays the bills... rumor has it he's broke again... (after claiming all those horses and not doing so well... one can only wonder)

He's still claiming horses for up to $25,000. How broke could he be?

what happened to gammy vazquez? i know he used to be the main trainer a few years back? i noticed the horses he trained strated to slowly dwindle until he was no longer in the picture.

i was never able to find out anything about the departure.

PS, cross chris grove off the list. he ins't training for gill anymore.

read an article recently that anthony adamo is know running the operation

You want to see an operation go to Elk Creek Ranch his PA "Farm"
120 stalls, video cameras every where, full stalls....like a big industrial wharehouse full of damaged goods.
New trainer, new help, constantly, there's a turnstile on the barn door.........
