Of course this will depend - however, these are rough numbers.

Vet Exam (eyes, heart, lungs, physical, jog, flexions all around, and observed under tack and on a lunge line): $400 - $500
Blood work - Coggins: $40ish
CBC / Chemistry: $135ish
Drug Screen: $200ish?

Xrays, in my part of the world are $49/plate + the set up and processing fee. Hocks are generally 4 views each, feet could be upwards of 5 shots each?

Take into consideration I am used to the process of vetting show horses! A full vetting in Palm Beach with a FULL set of xrays can be upwards of $3,000. However - there are MANY variations of vettings!

I vetted my horse back in February. I don't know how prices will compare, but I am in KY and my vet is with Rood and Riddle. I paid around $900. That included a basic exam ($150) of general health, flexions, watching him lunge (he was very green) etc. I did hocks, stifles, front feet a naviulars with digi xrays....so 21 at $32/shot which is around $670 (he did stifles and didnt charge me). I didn't do knees, pull blood or drug test (seller was a good friend of my trainer).

Here in Wisconsin I paid about $1200-1500 each time I had a horse vetted. That was with the full X-rays.

Just took a horse for a vetting (passed) comprehensive physical, extended flex n jog, cardio wind and front feet x-rays, Strangles shot, and blood pulled saved for future tox screen if needed $750.

Last week had another horse vetted on site (passed) comprehensive physical, flex jog as well as neuroligic work up, extended lunge for cardio/wind, digitals of a front foot (1) and hock (1) on site plus health cert stangles and call fee $1,070.00

And in same week had on site pre-purchase basic physical w/ flex n jog no x-rays but blood and strangles plus health certificate (pssed) $375.00

All w/ diffrent vets all w/ in a 10 day span

Yes I sell alot of horse OK

It's usually around $1500 for me. The most expensive one I ever did was $2500 but it included hock injections and was done in Wellington during WEF.

I spent almost as much vetting my most recent purchase as I did on him. He was an OTTB so I did hocks, stifles and front feet xrays plus the basic flexions etc. It was about $1200.

Think you are in my area so, ballpark is about 1k. That's the full physical with blood panel and pics of all 4 feet. More if you go into any great detail.

I paid $1,200. i had hocks, feet, knees x-rayed. I also had export papers done at the same time because i was importing from Canada. and i the foreign exchange rate at the time was in favor of the canadian dollar! (grrrr! only when i was buying a horse did the exchange rate go in favor of the canadian dollar! $1 US dollar netted .95 cents canadian)

I got a deal somehow... not sure how, but it was $450 for the full exam, and I live near Chicago. All of the work was done for this, too.

I used to be an A circuit competitor where it was over $2,000 so you can imagine how pleased I was with this! I think it may depend upon the vet.. it can be a rip!!

I paid $1500 for everything. including tons of x rays.
I wanted to make sure I was buying a sound horse. In my mind it was worth every penny.:D:D

The vet I would use to vet would run about --

Basic exam - lunge, visual, flexions, palpations, gait analysis, etc - $100
X-rays - digital, average hocks/knees - $250 (Feet = most expensive)
Ultrasounds - average - $200
Drug test is around $50 I think. Could be wrong on this one.

$400 for basic exam, and hundreds more depending on what you xray.

The last time I did a full vetting with hock/front fetlock/foot x-rays it totalled a little over $1000 (maybe $1150?). That was a little less than a year ago.
