I am posting this for a friend. She bought a mare a few weeks ago, the owner had died, the woman who was selling her told her she was sore from being in deep mud. So she took a chance and bought her. However, the farrier thought that she might have pulled a tendon from being in deep mud, the vet thinks she might have a bone chip or have arthritis. However, my friend can't afford to get xrays so she wants to try to find her a good home.

The mare's name is Sweetie, and she fits her name. I am not quite sure on her information. I know she is a Sorrel Quarter Horse, but I don't know if she is registered. She is younger, I want to say under 10, and she is around 15hh. She is an EXTREMELY easy keeper, she is a little overweight right now. She is kept barefoot.

She is nice and gentle on the ground but she can be weird about picking up her front feet, I'm pretty sure because it hurts. Within the first couple days she had her she jumped up and hit her face on the (low) barn ceiling when she tried to pick her feet up, but she is a lot better about it now.

She gets along with any horse, and I think she will make a great companion for someone.

If anyone is interested you can PM me or email me at emmybeeltd@gmail.com and I will be happy to pass the contact info on to her.
