Center Brook Farm Equine Cruelty Updates
and Horses for Adoption
This page was started to keep all interested updated on the status of the horses at Center Brook Farm for thoroughbreds in Climax, NY. The latest facts on the case against Ernie Paragallo:
Mr. Paragallo has been charged with 22 misdemeanor counts of Failure to Provide Sustenance. Each charge carries a minimum sentence of up to one year and/or up to a $1,000 fine.
176 horses at Center Brook Farm are under the care of the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA. Dozens of the horses had infections and parasites, and virtually all were thin to emaciated.
The Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA is in need of homes for 67 adoptable horses. Donations are welcome.
Below, please find pictures of Center Brook horses available for adoption. The list below is likely not complete, so please check back frequently. Horse adoptions are FREE OF CHARGE to approved homes. If interested in adoptions, please contact us at 518-828-6044, extension 101 and speak with Katrina. We have no affiliation with the ASPCA, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), or any other humane society. We receive no funding from any other organization, nor do we receive any federal, state, county or local funding. All expenses involved with the Center Brook seizure will be the burden of the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA. Instances like this are impossible to include into an annual budget, and the enormity of this commitment is going to utilize our every resource.
