I can't believe I am even getting a chance to ask for jingles for this horse. I thought he would be gone by now.
Last night at my late check I found a boarder colicing. He ended up at the vet clinic. It became apparent that he had either a displacement or a cecum impaction. WE barely decided to give him until 5;30 until the main vet could be called. We got a new vet to the practice last night and although he seemed to do everything right, when you are thinking of putting your horse down, it is nice to have a vet you have met before!
Anyway, the horse, Chase, is still with us! I am not going so far as to say I am optimistic, but at least there is some hope.
so massive COTH Jingles PLEASE!!
Thanks.

Just gt back from the vet's. I can't believe this horse! I was already making burial plans. He is bright eyed, grazing a bit and looking for more. I hope he is really out of the woods, he sure looks it.
That was a scary close one.
thanks for the jingles.

Jingles for him and hope he has turned the corner! Thsi spring in NC seems to be a lot of colic! My stallion had a pretty bad bout, which we did get resolved at the barn with vet intervention and a gelding coliced last week, also had to have vet out and tube, but it resolved by morning. Not sure what is going on this year, but weather certainly has been weird enough!!

Thanks for the jingles! He is doing ok. He feels well and is eating but hasn't pooped since he got home about 4:30. Of course, he had no food until 8 this am, so I hope that is just par for the course.
I can't believe he is standing up in his stall. I thought about 2 am that we were done. I hope this is not a a lull in the storm.
He is a pretty 16.1 tb gelding, chestnut with lots of white. He takes good care of his mom. I owned him for several months before current owner bought him. He is a good 'ole boy.

WE have poop! I just checked him and he is fine. What a difference 24 hours make.
I wish I know just what he had going on, because I can't believe this recovery.
With nothing but fluids he did a complete 180.
Thanks for the ear and the jingles.

This has been a really colicky year for us, as well - not sure what's going on, but hope the spell is over, and glad that your boarder's boy is doing well now!
