Hello all!
Looking (and having some fun doing it!) for a seriously in the market friend who would like to find a TB stallion for one of her mares. Not a cross; a TB. We all love Salute the Truth as we have two of his babies (fillies) and they are *fantastic,* and can't say enough good things. But looking for someone else as a match for this particular mare.
Breeding for an event horse. Mare is a TB/perch/maybe connemara? Regardless, a TB on the smaller side is desired for this situation, or who throws babies on the smaller side. In mid-A is fabulous but will look elsewhere obviously.
Love to hear any recommendations! TIA!

What do you consider "small"?

I believe they would like something under 17 hands, or, if taller, not something super substantial in bone.

Two TB stallions that I really like are Innkeeper and A Fine Romance.

I see you're in Maryland, too bad as I would recommend Comet Shine. Unfortunately, he is in No. Cal and I doubt that he has ever been collected for shipment. If you were interested, you could contact Victory Rose Thoroughbreds - I think they're in Dixon, CA.

Aside from those already mentioned, there is Rather Well - a TB stallion in Canada. He's competed Advanced with Karl Slezak. He's only 16 hands, so it seems that would meet the qualifications for "small":
http://www.darwood.net/users/bystorm/ratherwell/pedigree.html There's not much info on the website - I certainly don't know much about his offspring. Anyone out there with that info?
Mystic Replica's another one that's on the small side. http://www.lanefieldfarm.com/mysticreplica.htm
We've got a 3 year-old filly by him out of Salute The Truth's dam - she is very refined and petite so far, though she's obviously not done growing, yet (she's also a little fireball).

I'm not a big Tb fan, but Coconut Grove just knocks my socks off. I'll never forget Santorini (http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.octoberhill.com/offspringpics/san_0003.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.octoberhill.com/stallions_details.php%3Fstallion_id%3D18&usg=__vof31yhq8h9a1Ya1vs_aHRiJ3JY=&h=219&w=250&sz=16&hl=en&start=1&sig2=jHHkwYn4oOhU_hL1hUVZJA&um=1&tbnid=3uxIlTEVRVbjOM:&tbnh=97&tbnw=111&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dselle%2Bfrancais%2Bsantorini%26hl%3De n%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DG%26um%3D1&ei=ZuztSeykH4SQ6AO17-XoAw), ... go all the way to the bottom of the page to see the photo of Santorini. BTW, Ann Kursinski (sp???) snapped him up.

Everyone, thanks so much for the links and info, and the PMs on all these lovely boys! Will be forwarding it all to the mare's owner. I'll be looking forward to seeing who they decide is the best match for her.
Erin, have to say it again, LOVE the Salute the Truth babies we have at the farm! What lovely girls, both of them...so impressed with them and the others I have met. They will both be making their eventing debuts this year, I can't wait to see them go.

My TB stallion Mt. Vidmore's first sporthorse foals are on the ground and looking fantastic. Mt. Vidmore is by Mt. Livermore out of the Pleasant Colony mare Vid Kid. He's a big, refined horse, and moves like a cat. Best of all is his temperament though!
He's located in central Maryland.

Just A Devil http://www.pedigreequery.com/just+a+devil is putting some nice youngsters on the ground. He also Evented a bit himself, and one of his 2 years olds won a class at a YEH Breed show. I think he is about 16.3
He is standing in Centreville, VA

what level event horse are you aiming for....top level or LL packer?
The TBs have all different shapes and sizes so you really need a bit more info on the mare.
Probably Coconut Grove or A Fine Romance would be at the top of my list just from sheer jumping abililty but there a several others out there....I've like a lot of the Harry the Hat offspring that I 've seen. I would want to look at the mare's pedigree nicked with one of the sires. Somethings I don't mind doubling up on and others...I want to stay far away from.
