Warmblood Dressage/Husband horse in CT

I have a gorgeous 20yr old Warmblood looking for a Husband/Companion/ Trail Home available for free lease. He's 16.2, gelding, healthy no special needs other than 24/7 turnout to keep comfortable

He's a retired 3rd level Dressage Horse
2nd career as a Therapeutic Riding Horse
I've had him for 5 yrs as a husband/ beginner/ companion/ trail horse
goes English or Western
no meds, very easy keeper

I'd like to keep him local to check on him.

Would he be suitable for light low level dressage and trail riding? Would you let him go to an excellent home on long island?:)

he's got authritis in one hock so he prefers not to Canter (difficult to hold his lead)
he's best suited for pleasure and trail
