As I have no internet skill whatsoever, I am shamelessly putting the link to the Trot topic on this wonderful boy here:

http://www.trot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=4342

BIG, handsome, and would make someone a wonderful partner- I just love his alert interest in everything- how smart is he? Not silly- but alive! And, I'd love for him to stay that way- he is on the auction/slaughter circuit, and, at .90 a pound, he is certainly at risk...

Can you help?

He IS gorgeous! Really caught my eye when I went through the listings earlier.

And check out the team penning horse, the polo pony, the foxhunting mare, the Paso Fino, lots of others this week look good too... :sigh:

Ah! There's a very cute mostly unbroke 10 year old ASB mare on there too. My goodness. I wish I were rich...

Hmm, now that I look on the AC4H page, I can't find him... Can anyone else spot him on the website?

*Found him = ) He's on the last page of the broker owned section. Ooh, those hind legs are a little concerning, but he'd probably hold up okay under light work with good shoeing. His face and front end are so cute!

I am just curious-- does his $800 price tag actually reflect the "meat price" or price-per-pound for this horse? If so, how come some of the horses who look heavier than him are priced lower?

I do not have room for another horse right now, but I sure hope that someone does.

That price is a bit high for a meat buyer to pay for a horse. The brokers price the horses based on what they think they are worth, not as a meat animal. Since he is handsome and quite attractive looking, and obviously sane, his price reflects that,

Gosh i hope someone takes him in before he gets shipped. praying for some help for him

Current meat prices are .90 per pound. I'd say he looks like a healthy 1000#- wouldn't you?

However, I like thinking about him carrying some lucky person around- he is flat wonderful! Anyone looking? Anyone want to help with bail? Anyone want to tell me I'm an enabler?

I sent him along to my grandma along with that cute unbroke 10 yr old ASB mare on there (with crooked front legs, haha). She knows some people looking for both projects and quiet types. So maybe = ) If I had room and $$, I'd be taking a closer look at that 10 yr old mare as a saddle seat project. She's a cutie too. Why am I not rich? Maybe it's time to start playing the lotto...

Crap, he is not on the page anymore and according to comments on Trot it appears this broker sold or traded him to another broker. Of course I just heard from one of my customers that they would want to make an offer on him....

He is back on the auction circuit- another "broker" purchased him.

Bleh, that's annoying. I worry for those hind legs a bit, and it'd be nice for him to go to a good home where someone can keep him in good work and shoes. He's got such a sweet face and pretty front end = (

I do still kind of want that $450 unbroke 10 year old too... Oh if only money grew on trees.
