Too many choices never fails to render me stuck.

Pros/cons of the three materials offered?

I was inclined to choose satin but can't bring myself to just order the thing without consulting the expert panel on COTH.

DOn't get lycra if your helmet has a nubbly or sandpaper texture. Some companies (charles owen for sure) does that to help keep the covers on, but it snags lyrca something fierce.

Satin looks GREAT but nylon wears a bit harder. However the colors are richer with satin.

I have the nylon from Sipps & really like it. I dislike the look of the lycra
& felt like the silk was too shiny for me.

Lycra if you have a helmet with a brim. Nylon if you have a skull cap.

I have always bought nylon covers for my helmets. All my helmets have the sandpaper texture (Charles Owen).

FWIW, I *just* ordered a new cover from them for my new Pro II Skull and it was here in less than a week!!!! :winkgrin: It looks great AND it fit my helmet!!!! (I had to give them the helmet measurements because they hadn't done a CO Pro II in a size 7.)

Two thumbs up for Sipps!

I got a satin one... it looks the nicest, imho. Rich colors, thick smooth material, etc.
I don't like the way the lycra looks at all, on any helmet.
The nylon looks okay, but the colors look flatter and the material can look rather stiff/crinkly which makes it look sort of cheap (when it isn't). I just don't think it looks as nice as the satin.

Satin. I love the look of the colors and can always spot my daughter! We used to have a lycra one, but it will snag a Charles Owen skull cap big time as another poster mentioned. I asked the advice of the sales person at B of B when I bought it and was wisely advised. I suggest you speak with the person who you will be ordering it from and they can advise you depending upon what type of helmet you have.:)
