Cindeye organized a breakfast on Saturday morning at the MGM Grand last time - worked out well. I'd be up for that again, or to meet somewhere for drinks, or lunch, or, ...................well, just about anything!

There are actually a few Albertans that I know of going to stay at the MGM (and possibly 1 former Edmontonian (Joanne Uhrig) did you ever know her?)

Also staying at the Paris with a "gaggle of Cannucks";):D Tell me more about this buffet!
This will be my Maiden Voyage to Vegas. Would love to meet ya'll.
PS.........
You guys better have the heat turned on down there, so we can leave the Parkas & Snowshoes at home in the Igloos!!!!! :)

Wouah!!!
The get-together is a great idea!! I would love that!!
This is the only show I attend per year as I usually stay in my office! This is actually the only occasion that I have to meet our riders face to face. I'm excited!!

I'll be at the CWD booth pretty much all days long so it will be great to see other faces than my co-workers!

Let me know what has been decided for brunch/lunch/dinner/buffet... I'm in for anything!

And if the Frenchie has to go to a buffet at the Paris restaurant in Las Vegas, then be it :D

See you guys there!

Well, what about a Saturday morning brunch? Before the GP and the dressage finals that evening? the one we had at the MGM Grand last time was pretty amazing. As I recall, there had to be a deposit for such a large group, and we all paid our deposit via PayPal.

What do y'all think about something like this? I'm sure, if someone would rather do Paris (mroades! LOL), or someplace else, we could be convinced.

Saturday brunch sounds great for me! Just tell me where when and who I pay!...

Maybe we should all wear something to identify us COTHers at the WC? A red scarf? Beanie caps:lol:

Uhhhh. something????

We are also staying at Paris and, yes, the buffet is fabulous! I also have to save room for the crepes when staying there ;-)

Unfortunately, a Saturday morning get together is out for me :-( Hubby and I will probably be spending the day competing with our pipe band at the Las Vegas Highland Games and it will be a mad dash to get back in time for the dressage finals. I did refuse to miss the jumping finals on Sunday, however.

My friend and I are coming from Australia and would love to join in on any get togethers but the Saturday morning is out for us, we will be doing the Grand Canyon.
We are staying at MGM 14-19 April.

Maybe we should all wear a brick red or baby blue ribbon (for the colors in the coth banner) so as we're out and about in Vegas or in the T&M and see one another we can stop and chat...even if we can't make the get together...

We will be checking in with the Canadian Warmblood Booth, and possibly doing a little relief time with them. Also trying to attend the Breeders Meeting Friday Morning. (Will be able to spot my Canuckian Winter white tan!) Will try to wear some Canuckian type identity.;) Do not know where in the Paris Hotel this sumptious Buffet is going to incur....but hopefully our frequent Paris Diner, will tell us more.

IIRC, in 2007 there was only about 2 hours or so between events. Enough time to grab food and do some vendor shopping, but not bother with leaving the TM.

You're right. It'd have to be a parking lot party, unless everyone had tickets to both the jumping GP and the dressage final that night. :sigh:

Okay, mroades, I'm up for your suggestion. Do you want to reserve us a room there?

I'm going to be in LV that weekend - but don't have WC tickets - even though rumor is that my horse will part of the entertainment piece. But, I would love to come to a get together. We expect to arrive Friday afternoon and leave Sunday or Monday - so if you guys decide on a place, time - I will hopefully be able to join!

Perhaps during the jumping GP on Saturday? Or, that would be when they have the hunter challenge, maybe?

We would def be interested in joining the group, depending on when it happens....we have tix for the showjumping events.

And ITG, hope to see you too :)

It'll be more than 13, because Mr. ESG (aka Mark) will be coming also, so that's at least 14. And lunchbox & Mr. lunchbox will be there, I'm sure, so that's more.

I like your suggestion the best. Can we do a breakfast date, around 9:30-10:00 at this place on Saturday morning? That will give those of us with SJ tickets time before the GP at noon, and plenty of time for those with dressage final tickets that evening. It seemed to work well last time, anyway. MGM Grand reserved us a section in the buffet room itself, and that was nice. Can you arrange this?

I'm not sure. Talk to the concierge and see what they require for a reservation for a large party. I know that Cindeye had to put a deposit down to guarantee our party of ~25 people at the MGM Grand buffet, and we all sent her a deposit via PayPal. You may need to do the same thing.
