I've leased out my mares this season, and Tippy (Grange Finn Sparrow x Choo Choo Blue) is going to the ID stallion, Cradilo. Just for fun I've been doing a little research on him, but I haven't found much other than he's done some Grand Prix show jumping. I can't find much on his offspring, and I know nothing about ID pedigrees. My friends that are using him have met him in person and say that he very mannerly and handsome.
My mare is a light boned, thoroughbredy Connemara x TB so he should add bone and height into the mix. She competed to Preliminary in eventing before retiring due to an injury.
Jingles that she'll get in foal easily!

Cradillo is a very nice stallion and a son of the wonderful RID stallion, Kildalton Gold. He has a very good temperament and tons of jump. His owner is a lovely lady who takes great care of him.

My breeder friend had a Cradillo baby who was lovely. She sold him when he was 2 1/2. He was a nice mover and very sweet. He did look like he was going to be tall, but I don't know how big he is now.

If you decide to sell the baby, let me know. My daughter has a lovely 14 year old Irish Draught Sport Horse who is part Connemara. She wants to eventually get a youngster who is also an Irish Draught/Connemara cross. Hopefully she can bring along a baby who will eventually be as nice as her current horse.

Thank you all for your input. I'm glad to see that the overall consensus is that he has a very kind temperment!
AKB- the foal will not be mine, but my friends will likely be offering one or all of them in utero. They are breeding my mare, a TB/Conn (Grange Finn Sparrow x Choo Choo Blue), my mare's half-sister (Grange Finn Sparrow x a TB Babamist mare), and a full ID mare to him. My mare competed successfully through Preliminary and her half-sister is a full sister to Windswept(competed by Penny Rowland to the 4* level)-so these babies should make super eventers or jumers! Keep a watch on their website www.rivendellfarmofal.com ; it's not currently up to date but you can contact them from the site.

One of my trainer's students has a homebred Cradilo gelding. He is out of a mare the student used to have at home that was at least part-Connemara. He can jump the moon. The student has trained him herself and has so far, brought him as far as intermediate eventing successfully (his first intermediate was her first as well). He is only 7 or 8 this year and has the potential to go advanced.
The student also has another mare by Cradilo (out of different dam) that she backed last fall.
Both her gelding and her mare were very easy to start and sensible. A friend of hers has another Cradilo youngster (out of yet another dam) that has the same qualities.

Impressive success for such a young horse. A kind, willing temperment goes a long way with bringing up a youngster.
I think people are starting to take notice of Cradilo, although I'd not heard of him before, from what I understand he drew quite a bit of notice in Ocala this winter.
We'll be doing a preg check on two of the mares in a couple of days! The other two will be bred next week.

I just received the news that Cradilo has won a Grand Prix for the first time! There is video of it on youtube.
One of the mares has been confirmed in foal to him; she's about 70 days. She's by *Grange Finn Sparrow x TB mare (mare is full sister to the dam of Windwept, who is also by GFS).
Another mare has just be bred to him after foaling in May; she's also by GFS and o/o a TB mare. Fingers crossed she's in foal!
