I did a quick video of the Rosenthal colt we rescued in January. He looks SO MUCH BETTER and is growing! His spine no longer sticks out, his hips are round and he's getting a neck. I can't believe how far he's come in two months!

He looks great! I can't wait to see pics of him all braided up in the show ring some day. Thanks for sharing his progress!

He is on his way to being a gorgeous boy and definitely ended up in the right hands!

Congratulations and good luck with him. My colt by Rosenthal showed with Rubicon at the GOV show. I fell in love with Rubicon's adorable face. Our boys are just a few weeks apart. He looks like such a sweetheart. He looks terrific with the extra groceries. How was he for clipping. I've been wondering what my boy Rothaus looks like under his wooly polar bear coat. It looks like you've got one wonderful Hunter prospect on your hands there - what a lovely rocking horse canter!

As our boys are only a few weeks apart, I would love to stay in touch to compare how they're developing and growing.

They really do bounce back quickly when they are young. SUCH good news for Rubicon!

Rubicon was so good being clipped! However, my clippers died before I did the touch-ups, hence the not so great job on the legs. I just purchased another pair of clippers and will hopefully get him finished this weekend. He even stood for me to clip his face and ears. I was all by myself, so I was a little worried about how he would do. My Silvio colt was just as good. These boys are so much alike in their dispositions. Now I just can't wait for Rubicon to grow as big as Preacher! I'm also blessed because both were visited by the lead-change fairy.

He looks fantastic! Thank goodness you got him in time. A friend who lives in Colorado was going to send me down there to get him before you saved him. Thanks for keeping us posted. Did you ever get his registration papers? Lisa

Wow he looks great! Would you share what you did? My yearlings look more like his "before" pictures -- though they are not underweight and they are well-cared-for. And perhaps I exaggerate a wee bit. But they ARE hairy yaks with pot bellies despite a good (I thought) worming protocol. Did you Powerpak him? Wow again, I really like him!

Preacher is doing wonderful. He's fit and ready to step into the ring in a few weeks. Here's a video of him from last week:

He looks really nice with good body weight.

Why did you body clip a yearling in March? Is he going to a show?

I actually clipped him so he could play without getting too hot. He had a very thick coat and would literally drip sweat after an hour or so turn-out. I felt so bad for him. After the hair came off, I said, dang, you may see the show ring this year!
