There have been many questions in regards to the stallion testing and the meeting held last week. This press release should answer most questions. Please let me know if I can answer any additional questions. barbara@silvercreeksporthorses.com or summer@silvercreeksporthorses.com

I already posted this on the 30 Day Test thread, but it bears repeating.

Whoo Hoooooo Silver Creek
Thanks so much to Silver Creek for creating a registry independent test and reviving the North American SportHorse Federation and making it stronger than it ever was before. This is beginning to sound like the Federation we all wanted it to be, and a voice for breeders in this country that will hopefully be able to speak with a unified voice to USEF, USDF, USHJA, and USEA. We are all soooooooooooooooooooooo tired of different numbers and different fees for all these groups. All our horses already have a life number given by their registries. To have an independent stallion performance test and a unified voice will be a dream come true.

Thank you sooooooo much!!!!! :D

Great idea!

I am glad this is being put forth and I think it is a lovely alternative allowing breeders to still benefit from a unified orgnanization while remaining within their own registry of choice.

:D Way to go Silver Creek!

Now when are you guys getting dressage stallions?

A wonderful effort on everyone's part! Were American registries included in the discussion process for a Federation or have membership before the formation of this new group? (In the past it has seemed like the AWR/AWS have been the registries everyone has loved to hate.) In any case, congratulations on setting up an independent test for the future! Excellent news.

The meeting occurred last minute. It had a bit of a snowball effect as it began with representatives from AHHA, AHS, and GOV coming to audit the test and escalated into a meeting. We are thrilled with the outcome and the positivity of the meeting. We welcome the participation of all of the North American based registries. There will be another meeting this spring/summer to update everyone on the progress and for those who missed the first.

Thank you everyone. We have been working very hard for this to come about and really appreciate all the support of the registries. They have been very forward-thinking and positive about creating the most "ideal" situation for breeders and stallion owners. The new Federation will serve to support ANY North American association. (Even the ones that may or may not accept the 30/70 Day test format.) The true purpose of the Federation will be to serve as an education portal to breeders, trainers, and riders along with being a proponent for support from other organizations such as USEF, USDF, USEA, AND USHJA for the breeding industry. We are so excited to have all of this coming to fruition and look forward to the future press releases to come!

Barb, has the new federation been formalized to the point of having officers yet? I'd love to know who they are.

Although Summer (SilverCreek) and I will be working closely together on this project, Summer will be leading the efforts with the Federation and she will keep everyone posted with developments. I am available to answer questions in regards to stallion testing, performance requirements, etc.
