As a former Suerte hostage, I just have to ask....
Is there going to be a Suerte 2009 edition?:D

Nope. The dear sweet FRM is enjoying retirement hanging out on 400 acres down the street with her best friend Minnie HaHa Wiggle (my daughter's ancient Quarter Horse mare).

Thanks for asking.

Suerte was the most fun I've ever had on COTH. :)

Ahh, the memories! I have a scrapbook with most of the photos, poems, songs and funny stories from the COTH thread. Along with the newspaper clippings and cards friends & strangers sent Suerte. I was looking through it the other day laughing. What a creative group we have here!
If you ever want to take a stroll down memory lane let me know and I will loan you the scrapbook. It is a crack up.

You and me both!!!

This is about the time of year I wander over to this forum. The rest of the year I peek in now and again but rarely ever say anything. I got mostly caught up on the Glenhill Gang a couple weeks ago on the Mare Stare board...now I'm just waiting for spring (which is actually here today--70* wahoooo!!!!) to get me in the mood for babies!

Whatever happened to our wonderful Suerte thread?? It should be archived in the favorites or something!:yes::yes::yes:

Oh Glenhill and the memories!! It was just an obsession with me to follow along (how long did we follow?) seemed like months. I remember me posting "There she goes" LOL, little did I know what a trickster she was. I have my shirt that I treasure. Actually I was looking the other night to see what was going on.

Watching Suerte for so long is what kept me from nagging poor Lily about when would she get down to business. Sammy was born shortly after Ransom. They will always hold a special place in my heart for getting me through my own foal watch......

Ahh, I was just thinking about Suerte and decided to check in on her. I am glad she is happily retired. I still have my t-shirt!

Does anyone know how Ransom is doing?

I have not received a Ransom update since right after he left after weaning. He has got to be a big gorgeous boy by now. If I ever get photos from his new owner I will post them here right away!

Here is a photo of Suerte from last month

People ask me how you "got" Suerte to stick out her tongue for the picture! LOL! I tell people she blowing raspberries at hundreds of Suerte Hostages that spring.

I note she went from a beautiful double stall to a lovely pasture. Nice life!:D

LOL and so do I. I love it!! It was the most fun ever. BTW, how old is she now? Must be a reason you retired her.

Wow, what a lovely retirement home!!

We still use the term "Suerte'd" to mean fooled or bamboozled by one of our mares. LOL!!

Oh, man, can I live in that field too when I retire? Suerte looks like a grand old gal, and Minnie HaHa Wiggle is as cute as her name implies. (There must be a story behind a name like that, no?)
