If I didn't think it was absolutely wasteful (for me) to spend $255 on a pair of schooling pants, I'd soooo get these:

Does anyone ride in jodhpurs? Any nice ones to recommend for a little less $$$? :)

I love jods! The problem is, they are so hard to find in adult sizes! I love them because they go anywhere. the breeches look a bit weird, cut off at the calf like they are, but jods go shopping, to town, and, for me, even to work. They were even in the Victoria's Secret catalog a few years back, but I don't know if they still are.

I really like jodphurs also. They do look great even when you are off the horse. They look really cute with flats after you ride if you want to go to the store. Sooo comfortable.
I found some Tuff Riders. Yes, I would fork out $225 IF they were of good quality and fit.

Be neat to find some jods with full seats. I do not think I have ever seen those.

LA Saddlery carries jods (of the boot cut variety) with full seats. They are really cute! I don't think they are on the wesite, but if you call they usually can get you a picture. www.lasaddlery.com

I have a question: do your calves not get pinched w/o tall boots or chaps?
Just curious. :)

I wear TuffRider jods EVERYDAY and I basically beat the crap out of them. They're cheap, look nice, and last a looonng time. I buy mine thru Schneiders.

The link did not work.
"Die Angabe einer Shopid fehlt."
eta: I know what the difference between jods and breeches is SUPPOSED to be, but I'm not so clear on actual practice. The jods on the site listed look like what they call "bootcut breeches" here, or what equissentials would call icelandic breeches.

For everyday, I ride in the Equissentials "Icelandic" cut; fullseat from bum down to ankles. No pinching, possibly because the deerskin is good and thick. Love them.
Fullseat jods are more popular in the UK, therefore plentiful and cheap:

I have a pair of the Kerrits jods and I ride in them all the time. I don't need half chaps with them and they are just a thin polyester, nylon, spandex blend. I may need half chaps if I was riding in my CC but not with my dressage saddle. The Kerrits jods are great in the hot weather here in FL. I wear those and the Irideon tights all summer long.

I`ve got Kerrits fullseats in the bootcut jod. The`re a midweight corded material. I LOVE them and have them in both black and a charcoal color. I trail ride in them in my english saddle without tall boots or chaps with no issues at all. I also school in my dressage saddle with no problem. BUT if I want to jump in my cc saddle, they do ride up and I need chaps or tall boots. My boots zip up the back, and the bootcuts only flare out a little bit, so its no problem to wear my tall boots over top.
I love that I can wear my runners with them after a ride for a quick stop or two and they pretty much look like workout pants.
Also, I should add that they are awesome for wearing when I ride my bike to the barn. Fullseats= pretty comfy bike riding pants too :))

There are some nice cotton blend jods at 123tack.com. I don't own any (yet), but they look really nice.
