**Home Found** thanks!
KY Brew is currently at Mountaineer Race Track and his trainer is trying to find him a home. He has some very small chips in his knee and he doesn't want to risk him by racing him again. As he is right now his vet said he should be just fine for riding - just not the stress of the track.
KY Brew is 16.2hh and although his papers show him as a dark bay, he's black.** The trainer said he's decent to handle, trains well and is one of the easier stallions he's handled. No vices and all in all, a very decent boy.
Jim doesn't have any pictures of him but will get some the next time he goes to the track. He needs the stall so the sooner he can be in a new home, the better. He can be picked up at Mountaineer or possibly at New Castle, PA.

** I was talking to someone today that tells me KY Brew is a very dark bay - not a true black. I can check it out on Saturday but if the colour is important, just thought I'd update.

As far as I know. I talked to the trainer this afternoon and he said he has someone going to see him Fri. I'm going to be there on Saturday so if pictures haven't been done by that time - and if the horse is still available, I'll take a camera and get some shots.

I would love to see pictures of this stallion if he is still available and such. Does he have any issues from the chips?

He doesn't at the present time but the concern is that if they race him again, he'll break down. I am just waiting to get a disk of the xrays to copy and have available. I should have them Tues maybe Wed depending on how quick the mail is.
Pictures..... (not the best I've taken  getting pics at the track isn't easy!)

He's a good looking boy and I was very impressed with how good he was considering he's a race fit stallion that's been on stall rest. All the shots, the shank is loose and his ears are pricked forward. I really like this guy!

Just thought I'd update. Brew is still available because a number of people wanted to see his x-rays before making a decision. I have the disk and I have converted them to jpegs for emailing. Both are available, just let me know what you want. I am not a vet so for any people asking if he'll stay sound, be sound enough for riding ..... no idea. He is sound now. He no longer needs to be on stall rest but he is not being worked any longer.
He is track broke - nothing further has been done. He is a stallion, a well mannered stallion, but still a stallion.
I don't know the horse that well, I just know the trainer/owner, he's a friend of mine and I'm just doing him a favour. I know he's a bugger to get ahold of at times but keep trying, he is out there. :) If I can answer any questions, I don't mind doing it but your best bet at this point is to get the x-rays to your vet and get his/her opinion as to whether this is a horse that will do what you need him to do and if surgery is needed to accomplish that goal.
